On Wednesday(28/09/2023), a one-day district level workshop program on agriculture and water resources was organized in the soul auditorium of Joint Krishi Bhawan Pakud in NITI Aayog’s aspirational district Pakud, in collaboration with ITC Mission Sunhra Kal, sister organization Sarv Seva Samiti Sansthan, and District Agriculture Officer. It was done under the auspices of which was presided over by Pakur District Council President Madam Christina Julie Marandi. In the program, District Agriculture Officer, Soil Scientist of KVK, chaired by Zilla Parishad inaugurated the training by lighting the lamp. After inaugurating the District Council Chairperson said that Pakur district being an aspirational district of Niti Aayog, Jharkhand Government is working very diligently in the interest of the farmers and also the government is present to take the agricultural welfare schemes to all the farmers. Appealed to all agricultural extension workers. District Agriculture Officer said that Pakur district being an aspirational district of NITI Aayog, ITC Mission Sunhra has been doing various types of work in the interest of farmers by coordinating with various departments of the government in agriculture and allied sectors for the last four years and since 2018. For example, to enhance the capacity of farmers, modules on different types of crops are being prepared, training, demonstration and publicity work of agricultural welfare schemes run by the government is being done among the farmers, due to which the farmers are getting special benefits. Now there is a need for all the departments to make maximum coordination among themselves and work on all the public welfare schemes to 100 percent reach of the farmers in the interest of the farmers.

To make the objectives of this workshop program successful, all the district level agriculture and related officers, block agriculture officers of Pakur district also participated in the LWBTM ATM workshop. Senior Regional Manager of Sarva Seva Samiti Sanstha, Debanjan Chakraborty, District Coordinator Amit Kumar Saha discussed the above topic in detail through PPT and gave training. Also, how all the departments can increase the income of the farmers by coordinating with each other on the interest of the farmers. And there was a discussion on how the farmers can become self-reliant and how modern technology and all the government schemes can be delivered to the farmers from the district level to the village level and a framework was also prepared on it, and its monitoring, reporting, data sharing. For this, a monitoring committee was formed under the chairmanship of the Agriculture Officer, along with which a route map was also prepared for correct reporting. Besides, all the scheme linkages of agriculture and related departments and for publicity related to agriculture were also made available to the farmers through awareness campaigns. There was also a discussion to create awareness through the medium, so that all the farmers of the district get correct information about all the schemes of the government, and by joining the government scheme, they can increase the income of their family and make their family self-reliant.
District Coordinator of Sarva Seva Samiti Sanstha, Amit Kumar Saha, appealed to everyone present to emphasize on how all the departments can coordinate with each other for the benefit of the farmers, so that the income of the farmers can increase and the farmers can become self-reliant. Also, how from the district level to the village level He appealed to do all the work on a single framework so that modern technology and all the schemes of the government can be implemented up to the farmer level so that in the coming few days, Pakur district can come out of the aspirational district and the farmers can become self-reliant. Also, advanced agriculture can be done. Methods like direct sowing of crops, zero tillage sowing, crop planning, seed selection, seed treatment, seed germination, timely sowing, proper management and use of water, balanced use of fertilizers, weed control, diseases and kits. Appealed to disseminate information about control, timely harvesting, proper storage and sale at good prices to the farmers.
District Agriculture Officer said that now the Agriculture Department is always trying to help the farmers. You should cooperate with the Agriculture Department and try to reach the benefits of all the agricultural welfare schemes run by the government to the right farmers like KCC, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Scheme, seed distribution, loan waiver scheme, agricultural equipment, drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation, paddy procurement scheme, crop relief scheme etc. The district coordinator of the organization said that due to lack of proper information about new technology or organic POP for advanced agricultural development, farmers are unable to earn the expected profits even after working hard. Keeping this in mind, our organization has prepared POP modules for various crops and through the same module, it is trying to reach the farmers by coordinating with the Agriculture Department, Atma, JSLPS so that the farmers can get the correct information about advanced farming. By adopting it, we can increase our production and also increase our family’s income and make our family self-reliant. He said that our organization is working diligently for every social activity along with agricultural development. Various public welfare works are being carried out especially for the sustainable development of small and provincial farmers, women and Paharia communities. Apart from this, they are also working on various public welfare schemes of the government so that they can reach all the beneficiaries. So that within the coming one year, Pakur can come out of Akanchi district and the daily living standard of the farmers can improve. On the occasion, District Council Chairmanship, District Agriculture Officer, KVK Scientists, District Horticulture Officer along with all the Block Agriculture Officers, District level officers of Agriculture and all related departments, Regional Head of the organization Debanjan Chakraborty, District Coordinator Amit Kumar Saha, Field Coordinator Anoop Mandal, Musleuddin Ansari, etc. were present.
