4S India focuses on improving community health and nutrition through preventive care and awareness. Regular medical camps and outreach sessions provide free check-ups, medicines, and health education. To tackle malnutrition, the organization promotes nutri gardens, mushroom cultivation, and distributes ration kits to affected families. It has also facilitated access to Ayushman Bharat/PMJAY and other government health schemes, ensuring financial protection for vulnerable households. Special attention is given to child and maternal health through the mapping of SAM/MAM children, counseling, and referrals, alongside nutrition training for mothers and frontline workers.
Promoting hygiene and sanitation is central to 4S India’s approach to rural well-being. The organization has introduced modular toilets, Tiger Toilets, and sanitation marketing, leading to the construction of over 30,000 latrines and the establishment of a Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP) in Muzaffarpur. These initiatives have reduced contamination and promoted safe waste management. Women and adolescent girls are empowered through hygiene kit distribution and menstrual health awareness, while Village Water and Sanitation Committees (VWSCs) ensure proper maintenance of water and sanitation systems. Continuous community training on WASH practices and partnerships with Jal Jeevan Mission, MGNREGS, and NRHM strengthen sustainability and improve overall public health outcomes.
