4S India has been promoting Ecosystem-Based Adaptation (EBA) to strengthen climate resilience and sustainable livelihoods in rural areas. Through integrated interventions in renewable energy, water resource development, and ecological restoration, the organization has enhanced productivity, diversified income sources, and improved natural resource management. Under EBA, plantation activities have been undertaken to restore degraded lands, enhance soil fertility, and improve water retention. The initiative also includes solar-powered irrigation across 52 hectares benefiting 331 farmers, development of 10 hectares of water bodies for fisheries and duckery, and formation of 13 Water User Associations for collective management.
